Kali English 101............

Kali 1.6 is quickly adding words to her vocabulary. As she does that, I've noticed that some phonics issues have developed.

One of the most recognizable things that she does is the fact that she sticks a consonant on the front of any word that has a vowel. For example, in Kali English.......

Ice cream is pronounced 'Cice Cream'
Elmo is pronounced 'Melmo'
Ernie is pronounced 'Nernie'

What she does is she takes the a consonant sound that follows the initial vowel and adds it to the front of the word. I noticed this the other day after doing some word recognition stuff with her using her flash cards. She'll figure it out soon enough.

In other phonics news, she pronounces spaghetti as 'getti'. Forget that whole first syllable.
