We took Kali 1.11 and Gwen 1.8 over to Sea Life Park while we were in Hawaii. It's a local wildlife park that tries to educate people about sea life and what they can do to help those animals thrive.
Kali was interested in feeding the turtles.......
Meanwhile, Gwen was just happy to run free.........
She's really working that tongue........
Gwen and Kali waited patiently for the sea lion show......
They were excited when it finally got started........
The sea lions were showing off.........
To end the day, the girls got to see the dolphin show. The great part about this dolphin show is that the background setting is the ocean. Funny story about the next three pictures. My mom was setting next to me and when the dolphin was about to jump, my mom would say "Now!" indicating me to take a picture. My mom evidently forgot that I purchased a camera that takes three shots a second. Usually, I had already snapped off two photos by the time she said "Now!". Ah, for the days when you always 'just missed' the perfect photo. Best $500 I ever spent. Not only did I get a great photo, I got the entire jump..........
You can see the dolphin spinning itself in mid-air in this photo........
Here's five of them exploding out of the water..........
Interesting photo here. You can see the new, younger dolphin in the middle isn't quite in sync with the other dolphins. I'm sure that they'll work that out after the show.......
Good picture here of one of the dolphins standing up out of the water on it's tail. It looked like the dolphin was walking on water.........
Here's a couple of really nice jumps. Mrs. Lime and I got the chance to swim with the dolphins during our honeymoon. It's an amazing experience and something everyone should take the time to do........
As a sidenote, we did get Uncle Mark to touch a sea urchin and a sea cucumber, so he can't say that he's never done that anymore. Lots of fun for the girls to see these animals up close. I think they had a really good time.
