A mighty fortress.........

I was watching an episode of Gilmore Girls with my wife (yes, I'm embarrassed to admit it). There was a kid on the show that was singing 'A Mighty Fortress is Our God'. Knowing the song quite well, I sang the first verse of the song out loud. My wife was amused by my singing and was smiling.

Me: That was written by?

Mrs. Lime: (smiling) God?

Me: No, God didn't write that song!

Mrs. Lime: (smiling bigger) No, but he inspired it!

I was a bit stunned by her response, as it was probably more accurate than the actual answer.

Me: No, it was Martin Luther.

My knowledge seemed unimportant. Mrs. Lime had one-upped me..........this time.
