Big weekend for space geeks.........

This weekend is the annual Perseoid meteor shower. The peak of the meteor shower will be on Monday morning at 2 AM, but there's no need to stay up that late to see plenty of meteors. Meteors should be visible as early as 11 PM on both Saturday night and Sunday night. The moon will be a new moon, so the meteors should be easily viewed. Sit in a chair and look towards the northeast sky. Expect 30-45 meteors per hour around 11 PM with as many as 90-100 meteors per hour just after midnight on Monday morning. Lots of fun to watch.
