Hot dogs and spelling bees.......

Well, the latest hot dog eating contest was just completed at Coney Island. The Japanese champion finally fell to the American up-and-comer in a thrilling finish where the Japanese champ tossed his cookies right at the end of the time limit. He tried to catch the hot dogs and try to re-eat them, but was unable to do so. The American set a new world record of 66 hot dogs in roughly 12 minutes time. Thrilling drama.

Immediately after the hot dog eating contest, the spelling bee came on. Kali 0.4 was watching the spelling bee. The spelling bee is known for having a lot of home schooled introverts do well in it because basically all they think and breathe is spelling.

Me: Kali, are you going to be a spelling bee champion? I think you have to be home-schooled to participate.

Kali: (smile)

Mrs. Lime: Really?

Me: (laughing) No, not really.

Kali: (laughing)

Even Kali got a laugh out of that.
